Only took about a 10-15 minute wait, food was amazing and came out very quick despite it being so busy. Mia was kind and helpful with picking out what to order. Highly recommend the city style pancakes!

Really cute brunch spot with great, friendly service, a cute atmosphere, and delicious, fresh food. I got the latke benedict and a gorgeous hollandaise sauce, perfectly poached eggs, and crispy latkes. Someone else at the table ordered the oatmeal banana pancake which we also thought was good, but not as good as the latke benedict. We also got the food pretty quickly which was great. Would definitely come back!!

We had the best time! Our waitress was so kind and generous to us! The food was incredible:) We ordered the cinnamon bun and it was so delicious! It was doughy but fully cooked. The grits were so good and had a perfect texture. The hash browns were also crispy and yummy! Our server Jenny was so sweet and kind with the customers and was so happy! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience! We will definitely be coming back!

This was my first time coming here. I’ve actually been going to a breakfast spot just a couple doors down because, honestly, I thought this place was closed. In Albany, you’ll sometimes see a whole strip of restaurants that look kind of dull on the outside, and you can’t tell what’s open or not—this was one of those for me. Once I came in, though, the experience started off well. I was greeted right away and everyone was friendly. Service got a little chaotic at times—there may have been a newer waitress—but it wasn’t anything too bad. What stood out was the teamwork. You could clearly see others stepping in to help and support, which I appreciated. The space itself isn’t very big—maybe around 25 seats—but it’s comfortable. I did overhear someone call about reservations, and at the time they weren’t taking any. So if you’re planning to come on a weekend, just be prepared for a bit of a wait or try your luck. I came on a Friday morning for breakfast. I ended up ordering the hash from the regular menu after discussing options. Originally, I wanted grits, bacon, and hash browns with onions and peppers, but they didn’t have that exact combo. The waitress suggested the hash, which in

I'm so happy to see the original Albany Ale & Oyster back open and reborn into a cute little luncheonette! The space has been brightened up, the bar area shifted and largened, and the kitchen has doubled in size. Consistent with the team at Albany Ale & Oyster, the food here is great. Their breakfast/brunch/lunch (they're only open 7-3) menu has some unique takes on it, from the latke benedict to vegan banana pancakes, and from matzo ball soup and chicken pot pie, to a sweet or savory Dutch baby. My partner and I shared their veggie breakfast hash topped with 2 fried eggs, which, with the addition of chili oil, was one of the most flavor veggies hashes I've had. Our only complaint was that we asked for the eggs over-easy but they came out hard. We also ordered the buttermilk pancakes "city style" - finished with orange zest, maple butter, and sea salt - super fluffy pancakes with a beautiful balance of sweet and salty; I loved them! The menu says to ask about bakery items, so we did and were recommended by our waiter a "red eye" muffin, cut in half, buttered, and toasted on the gridle. I don't know what a red eye muffin is, but it was full of warm spices, akin to carrot cake, and h
